I didn't see a topic for this so I decided to just put one up. I'm not counting the points though, but since Rebel X hasn't counted the points yet, we might as well get started on this week

Here are mine:

NYJ vs NE: New England Patriots
STL vs. ATL: Atlanta Falcons
CLE VS. BAL: Baltimore Ravens
CAR vs. BUFF: Buffalo Bills
MIN vs. CHI: Minnesota Vikings
WAS VS. GB: Green Bay Packers
TEN vs. HOU: Houston Texans
MIA vs. IND: Miami Dolphins
DAL vs. KC: Kansas City Chiefs
SD vs PHI: Philadelphia Eagles
DET vs. ARI: Detroit Lions
NO vs. TB: New Orleans Saints
DEN vs Giants: NEW YORK GIANTS (This was such a hard pick for me, but in the end, I am a Giants fan and must go with my teammm and ELI baby!)

JAC vs. OAK: Oakland Raiders
SF vs. SEA: San Francisco 49ers
PIT vs. CIN: Cincinnati Bengals

Carolina is not an upset pick and neither is seattle. they split the series last year and both teams made the playoffs. that's like saying the broncos were an upset pick over the ravens in week 1.

was that andy Samberg in that eli manning video ? lol

edit: u have sd beating eagles and that's not a upset either? lmao wtf
Yeah, it was a SNL Skit.
Peyton's skit is hilarious too :P

It's also worth noting that last year when we lost to Seattle, Justin Smith was out with the Tricep tear

42-10 broncos over giants? Pretending that im not a giants fan here, I can understand picking the broncos, but 42-10? thats ridiculous

Lol, I had the same reaction when I saw his guesses, but whatever xD. I am used to people underestimating the Giatns by now.

Oh well I'm ballparking with the scores. But, yes, I do think Denver is going to beat New York by a lot.

And what I'm saying is that if Seattle is struggling vs Carolina's D, they will also struggle vs SF's D only it could be to a greater extent. Especially against a divisional rival.

I can understand you predicting scores, but 42-10 come on now? Lol, I am a Giants fan so obviously my opinion is biased, but that is just ridiculous dude. The Giants have a pretty good defense and some good offense. Either way, you are entitled to your opinion. :p

There's no way in hell it'll be 42-10.

Eli's no slouch, and will definitely put more than 10 points on the board..

I also don't see the Giants letting that kind of s*** happen with their Secondary.

I assum week 1 was a huge fluke, but if the Giants have a repeat of week 1, his prediction might be spot on. I don't think Peyton would do that to Eli though

Also, about the 49ers vs Seattle.. Justin Smith was a HUGE part of the reason we lost. Check out this.

After RE Justin Smith's 2012 triceps tear, the 49ers allowed 300 passing yards per game and a 102.1 rating to opposing quarterbacks.

I think they may not hold them to just 10 pts, its possible. I mean, I saw them play vs the Cowboys. If they don't clean up those mistakes, they're probably going to be close to that.

It'll probably be something like 38 - 21 for all I know. All I know is that I'm guessing Denver to beat New York by a lot.

I wouldn't hold you against that opinion. 38-21 is way more reasonable. 42-10 is really out there. I don't think the Giants D will let let off 30+ points honestly. I think you are looking at Peytons 7 touchdowns last week as a precedent of every week, which it isn't. I think at most he will have 1 5 TD game and a couple 4 TD games.

to be honest, with those 2 qbs playing to put major points up, it could end up a 42-39 game. I sure hope so anyways. *fingers crossed*

More than likely it wont be a high scoring game, honestly.

Broncos and the Giants have some pretty strong defenses to match their Offense

That would be such a good game. Shootout between Eli and Peyton with the Giants winning :p. Ill take a 49-3 victory though for confidence boosts for the team xD

I think its possible for 42-10 but with numbers like that I could easily be wrong since teams don't exactly always score 40+. I don't think it will be close. I'd like to think last week's explosive performance from the Broncos is just a fluke, but I think they have the fire power to score 30+ even against the likes of the Giant's D. Maybe Peyton won't throw 7TDs again. He may just throw 4 of even 3. But I think the Broncos all around can score points. And I think the Denver D will get Eli for some picks.

Yeah I definately think they could score that many points, but I don't think at the expense of the Giants scoring that little. You might be a little blinded by the Giants 6 turnovers, but the offense looked REALLY good on Sunday. Eli threw 4 touchdowns I believe. They had a couple of bad fumbles and you know what and I am going to say it, the Giants offense looked much much better than the Cowboys offense and the Giants defense looked better than the Cowboys defense. Some really dumb turnovers (2 deflection fluke int, 1 was really elis fault.) 1 really really dumb and not at all the giants fault on a bad punt. 3 turnovers that really shouldn't have happened. Giants lost by soo little when they had 6 turnovers. The Cowboys should not be feeling so great about their win. 6 turnovers and only winning by 2 touchdowns? Thats pretty bad if you ask me.

Don't count the Giants out, its really amazing how they had a chance to win with 5 turnovers. How crazy would that be? If it weren't for another really dumb nobodys fault turnover, I think the Giants win that game with 5 turnovers. Which again, is crazy.

The Giants defense also looked really good and you can't blame them for giving up points. Those turnovers piled upon them giving them double the time on the field than the offense. And don't forget all the great field positions given up. Surprised it was only 24 or so points given up by the defense. (2 turnovers returned for touchdowns)

I will give New York this, they have a chance to clean up mistakes like that. They were lucky to be up against a team as bad as the Cowboys. If that happened against a good team like Denver, it'd have been about 42-10. But yeah, 42 -10 might be extreme for this week, but I still see something like 38-21 / 35-14 or something along those lines. I can't see New York doing all that well vs the Denver D.

6 turnovers against the broncos and it might be 60+ points honestly.

Woah, the Patriots recieving corps has got to be the worse they've had in over 15 years or more. Back when they were on of the worst teams.

#17 dropped a lot of promising passes, for instance.

Still got the W on that one though. Oh yaa

New Week 2 Pick em Topic http://dbzf.co.uk/topic/8430981/1/?x=35
Please repost your picks here otherwise they will may not be counted. I will try collecting week 2 picks from other topics but I can't promise to get them all. Free point given for tonight.

Also check the standings, pinned topic. New players will receive 8 points if they missed last week. Please pm if you have any questions or concerns.

I would have continued this to be the pick em topic but its becoming more of a discussion topic anyhow.
